Fiji Weather
We are right at the peak of summer water temperatures but note the steep fall of over a degree in February as Cyclone Rae sucked some of the heat out of the ocean as it passed more than 125 miles away. Cyclone Arthur passed slowly through the Coral Sea for two weeks before coming ashore at Brisbane in March and will have significantly lowered the ocean temperature, which will be of great benefit to the beleaguered Great Barrier Reef. Most NAI’A divers are using shorties or vests for the first dive or two, then a thin full suit for dives 3, 4, and 5.
